Mettā Atom – Choreomania | Uniting Souls Music
Independent dance music has always relied on the exchange of ideas between artists, scenes and places, and Choreomania arrives with that spirit firmly in view. The latest LP from Mettā Atom, released through Seattle-based Uniting Souls Music, spans 16 tracks and brings together a broad electronic palette shaped by house, techno and percussive influences. Featuring Hawaii-based vocalists Kapu, Ky Kalani, Jade Muniz, Jon Elis and Jayden, the project reflects a collaborative ethos that connects the producer’s Honolulu roots with a wider West Coast community. It is a release built around musical openness, where different contributions become part of a shared electronic language.
For Mettā Atom, the connection between local identity and global dance culture is particularly significant. His work encompasses both electronic production and the live environment of Kala Waikiki, a venue that reflects his interest in atmosphere, performance and collective experience. That perspective informs a project designed to move between different listening contexts, from the club to more open-ended settings beyond the dancefloor. By bringing together a diverse group of vocalists and releasing the material through a label committed to independent artists, Choreomania underscores the continuing importance of collaboration and regional scenes in shaping the wider electronic landscape.
